I love this series: the books transport me to another world. I can’t put them down and with Ocean Prey, I stayed up late to finish it. The plot is tight and the characters authentic—to have both Davenport and Flowers as main characters in one book brings it! The opening scene will grab you, and the action won’t let you go.

The plot involves some very feral gangsters who can’t recover drugs lost deep on the FL seabed. I’m a scuba diver and found the diving tech very believable. Sanford has an ability to draw complex characters, both good and bad guys, so you can see their motivations as well as their actions. I’ll continue to buy books in this series as soon as they come out.
